All the concerned parents/Guardians of the above mentioned classes are hereby informed that on the day of 30^th November, 2024 (Saturday) the Annual Excursion will be held as mentioned in school diary.

The place of Excursion is Alipore Zoological Garden, 2 No. Alipore Road, Kolkata 700 027, West Bengal, India.

Every student will be provided tiffin and lunch during the excursion.

Departure: It is expected that we will start for the destination at around 8.30 AM from the school premises.

Return: It is expected that we will return back at around 8.00 PM approximately.

In this regards, we suggest your good self to allow your ward for their amusement, though participation to the excursion is not mandatory.

Normal academic classes will remain suspended on that day.

You are also requested to fill up the below mentioned perforated form (CONSENT FOR EXCURSION) and submit the same along with an amount of Rs: - 900/- to the school cash section within 25^th November, 2024 (Monday).

Therefore, the Educational Excursion of those Classes (IX to XII) for the Session-2024-25 will not be conducted anymore. School will follow its normal winter timing on 16^th November, 2024.

All the concerned parents/ guardians of Playgroup to XII are hereby intimated that on 14^th November, 2024 (Thursday), we are going to celebrate the Children’s Day. It is also to be informed that like previous years, this year also we have organized a fancy-dress show for classes Play-Group to Kindergarten.

The theme of the show should be represented through the various characters of our society and for the same the kids should follow their make-up and dresses accordingly. (Play-Group to Kindergarten only).

Students may come in colourful and ethnic dress.

Magic show and cultural programmes also will be conducted.

Refreshment (tiffin) will be provided to all the students and they may also bring their additional tiffin from home.

School will follow its normal winter timing i.e,

Play-Group to Kindergarten: 8.20 AM – 12.00 noon

Class – I to Class-XII: 8.20 AM – 1.35 PM

It is also to be notified that as per our tradition school follows its winter timings after Diwali vacation. Therefore, the winter timing which is mentioned hereunder will start from 5^th November, 2024 and continue up to the end of this academic session i.e., 2024-2025.

This is further to be informed that like the previous years this year also Burdwan Model School will be hosting a spectacular Fireworks Display on the evening before Diwali vacation i.e. on 30th October (Wednesday) from 5:15 P.M. to 5: 45 P.M at the school playground.

Students along with their guardians may join the show. Please note that school transport will not be available for this event.

As you may be aware that within our OAER campus there are three colleges and one school and consequently many students and parents are regularly entering the campus. It is quite unfortunate that despite repeated requests and campaigning we observed that at the time of arrival and dispersal of the students, a few guardians are creating a chaotic situation and not willing to cooperate with the Management and security personnel as well. As you may be aware that maintaining the proper safety and security measures within a public place is a matter of immense importance, especially within an academic campus where the safety and security measures of the students is our foremost concern. Therefore, the Management has decided to follow a few measures which are mentioned as follows:

• Movement within the campus, riding motor-cycle or driving cars should be at a very low speed within 10km/hr.
• Using of helmets for both rider and pillion-rider is mandatory.
• Parking of motor-cycle / vehicles within the specified parking zone is compulsory.
• Using of cell phone is strictly restricted.
• Assembling and gossiping near the college class rooms should be avoided.

Moreover, it is also being notified that those guardians who are coming by motor-cycle / vehicles to receive their respective ward(s) at the time of dispersal must enter the school campus within 12:55p.m. Otherwise they will have to wait outside the main gate till the departure of all the school vehicles is completed.

It has also come to our notice that some of the students are entering the campus with cell phones and they are submitting it at the front office which will not be entertained any more. 

The above-mentioned restriction will be followed on and from 25th September, 2024 (Wednesday) onwards. Your kind cooperation in this regard is highly solicited.
