It is a moment of great pride for us that we are going to celebrate the 78th independence of our country, a colourful and significant journey towards new heights of achievement.

On the auspicious occasion, Burdwan Model School is up and about to organize celebrating it. To add colour and vibrance to the celebration, the Students of Burdwan Model School have decided to organize the Annual Exhibition (‘INSPIRE-2024’), on 17^th & 18^th August, 2024 for this celebratory event.

The School has heartily approved their enthusiastic efforts.

The programme of Independence Day will commence on the morning of 15th August, 2024 (Thursday).

We heartily welcome you to inspire our thinkers and tomorrow’s scientists with your presence.

Programme Schedule:

**Thursday (15^th August, 24):

Arrival Timing : 8.00 AM

Prabhat Feri & Flag Hoisting Ceremony : 8.15 AM – 9.15 AM

Cultural Programme by the students : 9.45 AM – 12.00 noon

**Saturday (17^th August, 24):

Inaugural ceremony: 10.00 AM – 11.00 AM

Presentation by the students: 11.00 AM  - 6.00 PM

**Sunday (18^th August, 24):

Inaugural ceremony: 10.00 AM – 11.00 AM

Presentation by the students: 11.00 AM  - 6.00 PM

On 15^th August:-

• Transport will be provided to all the students who avail it to reach the school. The students should wait at their respective Bus/Cab stop accordingly. The students’ dispersal timing will be at 12.15 PM.
• N.B. Refreshment will be provided to all the students. However, they may carry additional tiffin from home.
• On 16^th August:-
• Normal academic class will remain suspended. Only those demonstrators who will be called by the concerned teachers will come to school in school uniform. The timing will be 8.00 AM to 1.15 PM.
• Transport will be provided to all the students who avail it.
• School tiffin will be provided to only those who avail it.
• Day Boarding will follow its normal schedule i.e., 8.00 AM – 6.00 PM.
• On 17^th & 18^th August:-
• Students’ Arrival timing 9.30 AM & Dispersal timing 6.15 PM.
• Transport will be provided to all the students who avail it.
• All the demonstrators & volunteers of Inspire will be provided Tiffin & Lunch on both the days.
• Demonstrators & volunteers may also bring Tiffin from their home.
• Lunch timing for the demonstrators & volunteers will be from 12.30 PM to 1.30 PM.
• Day-Boarding will remain closed on 15^th August (Thursday) & 17^th August (Saturday) on account of Celebrating Annual Exhibition (INSPIRE) & Independence Day.

N.B: Both the sessions- School & Day boarding will remain closed on 19^th August, 2024 (Monday).

PARENTS TEACHERS MEETING FOR CLASS VI TO CLASS XII

All the concerned Parents/Guardians from Class VI  to Class XII are hereby notified that the 1st Parents-Teachers meeting of the School for the session 2024-25 has been scheduled on the  20th day of July’24 (Saturday) for the discussion of academic and other curriculum of your ward. In this context, all the academic classes of the aforesaid Classes will remain suspended on that day.

** The Day boarding session for those classes will continue as usual from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

You may be aware that for the safety and well-being of our Students the regular school hours were reduced during the harsh weather conditions.

Now, with the advance of the monsoon, the school Management has decided that School will follow its normal summer timings i.e. 8:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. for classes Play Group to Kindergarten (PG to KG) and 8:00 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. for classes I to XII from 1st July 2024 (Monday) onwards.

Day-Boarding will follow its usual timings i.e. from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

We appreciate your cooperation and understanding during the period of adjusted timings.

This is to inform all the concerned parents / guardians that due to the UGC NET Examination to be conducted on 18-06-2024 (Tuesday) by National Testing Agency (NTA) in the school, the school management has decided to close the school along with Day-Boarding on that day.

It has also been decided that instead of 18^th June, 2024 the classes will be rescheduled on the fourth Saturday i.e. on 22^nd June 2024 in order to avoid any academic loss. On this day the regular tuesday time table will be followed.

Dear all concerned parent/guardians,

This is to notify all of you that the School Management has been compelled to revise the late fees structure which is mentioned hereunder: -

Date of fees deposit                                                              Late fee amount

•          1st to 15th day of each month                                                         = Nil

•          16th day onwards up to the end of this month                             = Rs.30

•          Next month                                                                                         = Rs.30 + Rs.100

•          Third month                                                                                        = Rs.30 + 100 + 100

•          From fourth month onwards                                                              = Rs.230 + 200

It is also to keep in your kind knowledge that as per our observation very few guardians are not paying the fees within stipulated time rather it has become their regular practice. You may be well aware of the fact that our school is running under the category of self-financing Institution. Therefore, the payments received from the guardians are being disbursed to the concerned members of staff and carrying out other regular expenses.

Hence, all of you are hereby requested to deposit the respective fees of your ward(s) within the scheduled time i.e. within 15th day of every consecutive month.

We regret to convey this notice whereas collecting late fees is not desirable.

Therefore, all the sessions (School & Day-Boarding) have been suspended on tomorrow (04-06-2024).
